The Maned Wolf

The Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) has been known for hundreds of years for their fox-like looks. Unlike most wolves, Maned Wolves do not form packs. They hunt alone. You can find Maned Wolves in most grasslands of Central and South America. Maned Wolves are not considered to be "true wolves" because they have a little fox and dog in them. The Maned Wolf still eats meat like any other wolf, but will also eat fruits. Did You Know? The Maned Wolf is sometimes called a fox with stilts!
