What Wolves Eat

Wolves are Carnivores, so they eat mostly meat. The Gray Wolf eats bigger things such as Deer, Elk, and other animals with bigger carcasses. Red Wolves and Arctic Wolves eat smaller animals such as Hares, Mice, small Birds, and other animals with small carcasses. Did you know? Sometimes most wolves will even eat berries off a bush!

The Artic Wolf

The Arctic Wolf (CAnis lupus artos) is one of the least common wolves in the world. Arctic Wolves are mostly found in very cold places such as Alaska, Canada, and a few in New Zealand. Arctic Wolves are also on the Endangered Species List and I think we should stop hunting them! Arctic Wolves tend to be very shy so if you see an arctic wolf, it would most likely run away than attack. In Fact, that is probably what most wolves would do. Just remember: most wolves will actually be more afraid of you than you're afraid of them!

The Red Wolf

The Red Wolf(Canis rufus) is one of the least common wolves to see. Red wolves live in mostly the Southeast areas like Virginia. Red Wolves are much skinnier than other wolves. You might even confuse the Red Wolf with the Common Coyote, because they are so skinny! Did You know? If you ever think about visiting Virginia, you can go to the Virginia Living Museum to look and admire the Red Wolves there!

The Gray Wolf

The Gray Wolf(Canis Lupus) is the largest breed of wolves. Gray wolves are a bit fatter than other wolves, and are the most common wolves around the world. You can find these wolves in Minnesota, and other mostly cold places around the world. Please keep in mind that the Gray Wolves are also on the Endangered Species List, so lets try not to harm them! many farmers around the world used to hunt wolves because they would hunt their livestock. Did you know? The Gray Wolf originally came from Europe!
